What is Battleship?
Battleship is the classic sea-battle strategy game. You and the enemy each hide a fleet of ships on a secret grid, then take turns calling out coordinates like B5 to fire. Mark your hits and misses, track down every ship, and sink the whole fleet first to win. It's a test of strategy, memory β and a bit of luck!
How to play
- Setup: place your ships horizontally or vertically.
- Fire: take turns picking a square on the enemy grid.
- Hit or miss: your tracking grid shows the result.
- Win: sink every enemy ship.
Tips
- Spread your shots. Fire in a checkerboard pattern β every ship covers at least two squares.
- Follow up a hit. Try the squares around it to find which way the ship runs.
- Hide ships apart. Ships next to each other are easier to find together.
